See, See, See
We left the Drau today to take to the lakes on our way to Villach. My suggestion was given with a sad face as there was an incline involved. By the end of the day it was a happy face as the descent was amazing.

A short 3km flat ride travelling by the river rapids to Millstatter See, a great ride on the north side of the lake, very picturesque, a lovely lake with little villages full of holiday accommodation and many camping parks. As in all Austria, lovely manicured lawns and gardens. The climb was easy to Radenthein through the valley, passing by two smaller ĺakes; Feldsee and Afritzer See.

The old town precinct in Villach is very attractive, we missed a festival by a week, however there are lots of decorations about.

We learned today that the Austrian/Slovenian border has been cut due to flooding so we will be rescheduling a bit in the coming days. We are thankful to an English repat who gave us some ideas to tackle our ride to Lake Bled … a must see.
By the way … we think that the world ĥas become a cashless society … tell Austria … 90% of cafes and bars are cash only, frustrating as we are constantly needing to carry cash.
